Control, Control: Fans Bizarrely Troll Shahid Afridi After He Becomes Father For The Fifth Time

Former Pakistan cricket star Shahid Afridi became a father for the fifth time on Friday and did not waste any time in revealing the great news to his fans. Shahid Afridi and wife Nadia became proud parents of a baby girl. On Friday night, he took to his official Twitter handle to share the news with his well-wishers.

Shahid Afridi, who is married to his cousin Nadia, posted a picture of himself holding his newborn daughter. Afridi’s other four daughters – Aqsa, Ansha, Ajwa and Asmara were also seen in the picture as he tweeted:

“The Almighty’s infinite blessings & mercy are upon me…already having been granted 4 wonderful daughters I have now been blessed with a 5th, Alhamdulillah. Sharing this good news with my well-wishers… #FourbecomeFive.”

As soon as Shahid Afridi shared the great news on Twitter, wishes came in pouring from all quarters. From cricketers to fans, everybody wished the legendary allrounder on the special occasion. But amidst all these, there were some who used the opportunity to troll the Pakistani legend.

A number of users posted distasteful tweets as they made fun of Afridi. The users were not only from India but also from Pakistan as they asked Afridi to stop.

Shahid Afridi will go down as one of the most entertaining players of modern era. He was a fan favourite because of his hard-hitting skills and also held the record for fastest-ever century in international cricket. He appeared in a total of 27 Tests, 398 ODIs and 99 T20Is for Pakistan during his illustrious career.

Afridi was an integral part of the Pakistan squad that won their maiden and only ICC World T20 trophy in 2009. Afridi had also led Pakistan to the semifinals of the ICC Cricket World Cup in 2011.
