After finding his feet in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL 2018), the ex-vice-captain of Australia, David Warner was in trouble initially to pick the bowlers on Windies’ surface. However, after having a hard ride, he got back to his form and smacked his maiden fifty.

As soon as he completed his half-century, he raised his willow and waved towards his spouse Candice Warner and his daughters. It was an emotional one for Warner as it has been a long time since seeing him in such a happy mood.

David Warner smashes unbeaten 72* facing TKR:

The swashbuckling left-handed batsman Warner has been the failure in first three games of the season. He collected 27 runs in his first three games thus making the things look bleak for St Lucia Stars in powerplay overs.

However, he got back to his best against Trinbago Knight Riders (TKR) that was led by Dwayne Bravo. Though he took 55 balls to score 72 runs, he managed to push his side to a significant tally of 212 on the board with the help of Rakheem Cornwall.

After scoring his first fifty in the tourney, David Warner had a sigh of relief.

It has been a long time since David Warner beamed with a smile on the cricketing field. After his ban due to Sandpaper controversy at Cape Town, the southpaw was hardly seen on the television apart from his Global T20 Canada League stint.

TKR chases comfortably:

Despite having 212 runs on the board, the defending champions haven’t panicked as they comfortably chased down with a ball to spare. The southpaw Darren Bravo has been the wrecker-in-chief during his sterling knock.

Though Chris Lynn, Sunil Narine and Colin Munro fall for a cheap score, the younger Bravo smashed St Lucia bowlers to all corners of the park. He scored a brutal unbeaten 94-run knock off just 36 balls to guide TKR over the ropes successfully.

Currently, in CPL 2018, St Lucia Stars are placed at the bottom of the points table while Trinbago Knight Riders set second with two wins, and two losses in their four games so far.
