The 20th match of Caribbean Premier League (CPL 2018) held between Barbados Tridents and Jamaica Tallawahs excited many fans around. The game took place at Kensington Oval in Bridgetown.

In the match between Barbados Tridents and Jamaica Tallawahs, Jamaica reached to summit of the points table. They managed to register a five-wicket over Tridents.

Summary of the Barbados Tridents.

While batting first, Barbados Tridents managed to get a total of 151 for the loss of nine wickets. Hashim Amla continued his poor run form as Samuel Badree trapped him in front of the wickets. Amla could only score three runs while facing six balls.

Dismal performance from the top-order:

Shai Hope, who came to bat at number three could not play impactful innings. He became the victim of Oshane Thomas after scoring just one run. Similarly, Steven Smith made only nine runs.

Jason Holder, who was looking to settle down the things for his team became the prey of an error of judgment. Johnson Charles with his brilliant athletics found him an inch short of the crease.

Apart from excellent innings from Martin Guptill, no other batsman could make it count. The opening batsman played blazing innings of 73 from just 60 balls. His knock includes four boundaries and three sixes. Imran Khan and Ashley were the joint-second top run-scorers with 20 runs for Barbados Tridents.

Similarly, Tallawahs lost their opening batsman inside first two overs of the innings. Glenn Phillips was the first man to depart who scored only six runs.

Coincidentally, the other opening batsman of the team was the top scorer of Tallawahs as that of Barbados. Johnson Charles scored 33-ball 55 with the help of five boundaries and three sixes.

Rovman Powell managed to hold the nerves till the end as he scored an unbeaten 35 of just 27 balls. He was the second top scorer of his team with the help of two sixes and the equal number of boundaries.
