Shah Rukh Khan has always been one of the best franchise owners in the game of cricket. He ensures himself to congratulate his boys whenever his side outsmarts the opposition teams. Much to the same, he came up with a congratulatory post to Trinbago Knight Riders as well post their win in CPL 2018.
The stupendous knock by Brendon McCullum on a pure bowler friendly wicket helped TKR to outclass Barbados Tridents by four wickets. Shah Rukh Khan left a congratulatory message for him.
As it happened:
Initially, it was Barbados Tridents who were put into bat first. They have got one of the worst starts possibly with the scorecard reading 3/3 in the span of ten deliveries. However, Shai Hope stood tall in the middle for Barbados alongside Nicholas Pooran.
They both managed to hit runs thick and fast, but the magic of Dwayne Bravo struck again. He sent Pooran at the crucial stage of the game and then rattled Jason Holder to turn things in favour of Trinbago Knight Riders.
Chasing the tally of 129, Barbados bowled well to restrict TKR to 37/3 in the powerplay. However, the experienced customer, Brendon McCullum alongside Dinesh Random guided the team inch closer to the victory. Despite losing the wicket on the brink of the win, Dwayne Bravo completed the remaining four runs.
The victory against Barbados Tridents lifted Trinbago Knight Riders to top of the points table. They equalled Jamaica Tallawahs to bag eight points to their tally.
Here is Shah Rukh Khan’s post:
The Bollywood king posted a picture of Brendon McCullum on his Instagram panel and wrote saying this is how they will play the game. He furtherly hailed the team for their complete team effort.
His post read,
“This is how we play. Well done Trinbago Knight Riders. Great team effort.”
