Cricket Fraternity Wishes Chris Gayle on his 39th Birthday

The Windies star batsman Chris Gayle is celebrating his 39th Birthday today. The southpaw batsman is still going strong in his illustrious career. Gayle is one of the most combative batsmen of the modern era. In fact, Gayle knows to bat only in one gear and that is the topmost gear. The southpaw batsman doesn’t believe in running a lot of singles and generally deals in boundaries.

Meanwhile, Chris Gayle led St Kitts and Nevis Patriots in the recently concluded Carribean Premier League. Furthermore, Gayle has eyes set on the next year World Cup. Gayle had also played in the World Cup Qualifiers. In fact, the combative left-hander had also scored a fine double hundred in the previous edition of the World Cup.

The pugnacious batsman has scored 9727 runs in the 284 One Day matches he has played for the Carribean nation. Meanwhile, Gayle also achieved great success while playing in the red ball version of the game. The left-hander went to amass 7215 runs in the 103 Test matches for the Windies.

On the other hand, Gayle achieved great success while playing in different leagues across the globe. The Universe Boss played for the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the earlier editions and has the highest score of 175 runs, which is the maximum in the shortest format. Furthermore, Gayle became the first batsman to complete 10,000 runs in Twenty20 version.

Meanwhile, Gayle played for the Kings XI Punjab in the eleventh season of the Indian Premier League. Gayle had also scored a fine hundred in IPL 2018.

Gayle will be focusing on the coming ventures for the Windies. The country is all set to tour India for two Test matches, five One-Dayers, and three T20 Internationals.
