Cricket Fraternity Wishes Little Master Sunil Gavaskar On His 70th Birthday

Former Indian skipper Sunil Gavaskar is celebrating his 70th birthday today. Gavaskar is loved all over the world for his accurate analysis of the game. The former Indian opener has a vast experience under his belt and he generally hits the nail on the coffin with his deep analysis.

Meanwhile, Sunil Gavaskar was the first player to scale the mountain of 10000 runs in Test cricket. The right-handed batsman scored 10122 runs in the 125 Test matches he played for the India National Cricket Team. Sunil Gavaskar scored 34 Test centuries in his illustrious career. Furthermore, he scored 45 fifties in his Test career. Moreover, the gutsy right-hander scored four double centuries in his career. Gavaskar scored his runs at an average of 51.12 and strike rate of 66.04.
On the other hand, Little Master played 108 One Day Internationals for the Indian team. He scored 3092 runs at an average of 35.14 with the help of one hundred and 27 half-centuries.
In fact, Gavaskar was also able to scalp a solitary wicket each in both Test and One Day format.
