Meanwhile, a star from the country, Rashid Khan, who garnered a huge name quoted that cricket has changed everything in the country.

Rashid Khan, who came to the limelight after his heroics in the under-19 tourney, managed to break the million-dollar deal in the Indian Premier League. Later, signed for Big Bash, Natwest and featuring in franchise cricket across the globe.

Not only Rashid Khan but also the likes of Mohammad Nabi and Mujeeb ur Rahman are raising the bar of the Afghanistan cricket across the world. Meanwhile, speaking of the same, Rashid Khan expresses his happiness for the steady rise.

The canny spinner revealed that the fans of Afghanistan love the sport like anything. He added that the youngsters in the country took the sport seriously and making serious efforts to attain certain heights for the country.

He takes responsibility on himself and also believes that Nabi and Mujeeb are trying to perform well, as that would certainly make Afghanistan people happy. Rashid Khan revealed that he can’t wait to feature for Afghanistan in ICC World Cup 2019.

“It feels good. People back home, they love cricket. It has changed everything in the country in the last five-six years. The young generation everyone’s following cricket, they love it. It means a lot that Afghanistan is participating in the World Cup. We – me, (Mohammad) Nabi, Mujeeb (Ur Rehman) – we just try and give our best in each and every game. The World Cup will be a good experience. Can’t wait for it,” ICC quoted Rashid, as saying.

“(The fans) are loving it. They love the sport, they love cricket. (We players) just try and give 100 per cent in each and every competition. Everywhere, we try our best to give something to the people back home. I know what is happening, so there is nothing else that can bring such a smile on their faces,” he added.

Well, as Rashid Khan said, it is a great feeling for any individual for making things happen for the country. It would be a proud and grand moment for the Afghanistan Cricket Team when they enter ICC World Cup 2019 in the coming few days.
