CSK React On Twitter After Poonam Yadav Names Them As Her Preferred Side

India women’s team spin-bowler Poonam Yadav is among the many athletes belonging to the fan club of Chennai Super Kings. When quizzed about which team would she like to represent in the cash-rich tournament of the women’s edition, she chose the yellow army. The mystery spinner is also a fan of Mahendra Singh Dhoni. And in response, CSK’s official Twitter account has welcomed her with open arms.

Indian women’s outfit put on a stellar show in the recently concluded Women’s T20 World Cup in Australia. Although India lost the final heavily to Australia, their display received widespread acclamation. Due to this, numerous former cricketers have expressed their desire for the women’s competition of IPL to be introduced as well. And Poonam Yadav spearheaded their near-successful campaign with ten wickets in five games at 11.90.

On Twitter, the 28-year old was asked which franchise was her preferred side and she quickly named MS Dhoni led-outfit CSK. Super Kings are one of the most successful teams in history, having won the title thrice and finished as runners-up on five occasions. CSK’s Twitter handle rebounded by replying “”Lionesses are the real hunters! Vaa vaa Manjal malarey!”

The right-arm spin bowler emerged as one of the breakout stars in the mega event in Australia. Poonam Yadav opened the tournament by bagging four wickets to beat Australia in Sydney convincingly. The 28-year old was also India’s best bowler in the final in Melbourne, snapping figures of 4-0-30-1. She finished the edition as the second-highest wicket-taker behind Australia’s Megan Schutt.
