Murali Vijay Explains What Makes CSK A 'Special Team'

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) is undoubtedly a special side in the IPL. The Chennai franchise backs their talents even if they fail at once which helps the youngsters believe in themselves. CSK also have a plethora of veterans who come with plenty of experiences and can imbibe the same in the youth. Moreover, CSK does not gives up on their pool of players easily.
Murali Vijay has been a part of CSK for all their three IPL winning seasons. Though he is currently out-of-favour from the Indian cricket team, he took the time in isolation to full use, and interacted with the CSK fans.

Murali Vijay was of the opinion that there are a lot legendary players to have graced the CSK franchise. It was an honour for the youngsters to share the dressing room with them. It is also beneficial for the players as they learn a lot about the game from their seniors.
“CSK is a very very special team. The kind of players, who came aboard right from the first auction, you name it, they are legends of world cricket,” Vijay, who spent five seasons with the team from 2009-13 in his first stint before rejoining it in 2018, was quoted as saying by the CSK website.
“It was a great honor for us youngsters to step into the dressing room and rub shoulders with some of the legends. You get to learn a lot of things by watching them and being around them,” the right-hander said about his early days in the franchise.
In an interactive session with the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) fans on Instagram earlier, Murali Vijay recalled an interesting MS Dhoni anecdote from 2014 England tour, which went on to help him grow as player and made him calm.
