The Speedstar Dale Steyn, who brings aggressiveness to the team with his presence, set to don the Royal Challengers Bangalore Jersey once again in IPL. He was bought by RCB in the IPL 2020 Auction for his base price of INR 2 Crores in the last round of the auction. Speaking of the same, the flamboyant cricketer expressed his hope of winning the trophy for RCB this time.

Last time, when Dale Steyn appeared for RCB, he proved his mettle with brilliant performances for the team. He brought much-required energy to the team in the dull phase and gave them their first victory of the season after a streak of losses in IPL 2019.  RCB franchise has played a smart game during the IPL 2020 Auction to acquire his services at a base price at the last minute.

Dale Steyn was bought for INR 2 Crores by RCB:

After spending his first three seasons of the IPL with RCB before switching to other franchises. He joined RCB back midway of IPL 2019 season, replacing injured Nathan Coulter-Nile. The pacer, who has the 7th best economy rate (6.7) in the IPL history, played just two games for RCB last season as a shoulder injury cut his season short.

Following his inclusion in the RCB unit again, the fast bowler hosted a question and answer session with his fans on Twitter. Replying to one of the queries of RCB fan, Dale Steyn said that Royal Challengers are going to win the cup with his presence in the squad.

When asked about his plan for IPL 2020, Steyn said: “Wickets, wickets and more wickets! With the added bonus of that trophy! Watch this space.”

Recently, Mike Hesson revealed that Virat Kohli was keen on having the services of Dale Steyn and Isuru Udana of Sri Lanka. The head coach Mike Hesson had a couple of hours texting with Virat Kohli, who felt the panel was sleeping during the auction time. However, as Virat ordered, the head coach snapped up Steyn and Isuru Udana in the last round.
