South Africa’s veteran fast bowler Dale Steyn has said that he is greatly excited to play in Pakistan Super League (PSL). Steyn will represent the two-time champions Islamabad United in the league. The PSL will take place from February 20 to March 22.
This will be the first edition of the PSL wherein all the games will be entirely played in Pakistan with the cities of Karachi, Lahore, Multan and Rawalpindi hosting the matches. Steyn is currently with the Proteas playing against the England cricket team at home in a bilateral T20I series. Steyn revealed his excitement by tweeting a video.

“Hello everybody in Pakistan. Just a quick message to say that I am super excited to come over and join Islamabad United,” Steyn in a video that he tweeted on Sunday.”Come and watch us play, really looking forward to it and I’ll see you guys at the games. Cheers!”

Steyn recently became the highest wicket-taker for South Africa in T20Is. Steyn achieved the milestone in the first game of the three-match T20I series against England. He now has 62 wickets in 45 games for the Proteas. He surpassed Imran Tahir, who had 61 wickets in 35 games for the Proteas.
Steyn has already said that he wishes to participate in this year’s T20 World Cup as he feels his vast experience of 15 years in international cricket will prove crucial to lead the Proteas quicks in Australia.
