The advent of T20 cricket has not only seen the rise of some outrageous batting and smart bowling, but also some absolutely out of the world fielding attempts. Case in point is Dan Christian who saved a six the other day in Big Bash.

Well, the effort was witnessed during the Big Bash League game between Hobart Hurricanes and Sydney Thunder on Monday (January 1). When Shane Watson launched Cameron Boyce over long-on, not only he but the entire stadium would have thought that the ball would sail over the boundary ropes. However, Dan Christian had some other plans. The former Australia allrounder ran perilously close to the boundary’s edge before jumping his time to perfection and caught in mid-air. On realising his momentum was taking him over the boundary, he showed a great presence of mind and flung the ball back to the field of play while still in mid-air.

Christian saved two precious runs for his side which turned out be very crucial in the end as Hobart Hurricanes defeated Thunder by nine runs to register their first win of the season.

Here is a clip of that stunning save from Christian;
