The game of cricket has seen very few characters as aggressive as Gautam Gambhir. The former India opener was always ready for a verbal duel on the field and was rarely seen sporting a smile. Gambhir was so aggressive that he did not even think twice before having an on-field fight with even his teammate Virat Kohli.

But behind that rough and tough personality, there lies a man who is very sympathetic and helpful. In the last few years, Gautam Gambhir has shown that side of his personality. He has never backed away from supporting the soldiers and even took the responsibility of the daughters of the martyrs. In Delhi, he also runs a community kitchen to feed the needy without charging them.

Perhaps this is the reason why his political career started with a bang. In his maiden stint as politician, Gautam Gambhir won the seat from East Delhi. He has now once again justified the faith shown in him by the millions. The legendary opener did not hesitate or delay in helping a lady who asked him for his help.

And to her surprise as well as utter delight, Gautam Gambhir responded immediately, asking her to send him her number.

“Pls send me ur no. ASAP,” wrote the ex-cricketer-turned-commentator.
