Former legendary spinner Shane Warne believes former Australian captain Steven Smith and vice-captain David Warner should walk straight into the team. Both the players are serving their respective bans after getting involved in ball tampering row. Shane Warne said both the talisman batsman are class acts.

Meanwhile, Australia’s batting had taken a blow when both these linchpins were banned. Smith and Warner were Australia’s best batsman without an iota of doubt. Thus, their services are deeply missed by the team. Subsequently, the team has been let down and it has been a difficult period for Australian cricket.

Both were Australia’s best batsman.

“Steve Smith and David Warner are a class act. They should walk straight into the side (after serving the full extent of their bans),” Warne said on air.

On the other hand, both Steven Smith and David Warner are all set to make their return before the World Cup. In fact, Australia’s head coach Justin Langer has said both of them should be back for the ODI series against Pakistan.
Australia desperately needs both of them back and their return will be a shot in the arm.

Both Smith and Warner will look to hit the ground running as they would aim to make a solid return to the game. Meanwhile, Cameron Bancroft was handed over a ban of nine months.

Bancroft said it was David Warner who had suggested him to tamper with the ball.
“Dave (Warner) suggested to me to carry the action out on the ball has given the situation we were in the game and I didn’t know any better,” Bancroft said in an interview, conducted by former cricketer Adam Gilchrist for Fox Cricket.
