David Warner has a huge fan following and it is not at all surprising. The Australia superstar has become a fan favourite in the cricket-obsessed nation thanks to his exploits in the Indian Premier League. After starting his career with Delhi Daredevils (now Delhi Capitals), he moved to Sunrisers Hyderabad and has not looked back since then.

He guided the side to its first-ever IPL title in 2016 by scoring more than 800 runs. Last year too, he helped the team make it to the playoffs by finishing the competition as its leading run-scorer. No surprises then that the Indian fans absolutely love David Warner. And they will see him play in India once again later this month.

India will host the team from down under for three ODIs, starting from January 14 in Mumbai. And ahead of the series, the Australia opener has left a special message for the Indian fans. Before leaving for India, David Warner took to Instagram to post a selfie and said that he is looking forward to seeing the Indian fans, writing:

“India here we come!! It’s going to be a great 3 game series. Looking forward to seeing all our Indian fans ??”

The upcoming series promises to be a blockbuster affair. Australia have named a full strength line-up featuring Steve Smith, David Warner, Pat Cummins, Marnus Labuschagne and Aaron Finch. India, on the other hand, will have the likes of Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah and others.

A great home season:

David Warner had a great home season and he will be keen to continue that form in India too. After a disastrous Ashes where he scored only 95 runs in ten innings, David Warner hit the ground running at home. He started the home season with his maiden T20I century which came against Sri Lanka.

The southpaw then returned to form in Tests too and scored a staggering 786 runs in just five Tests at an average of 131. David Warner scored three centuries including a career-best 335 not out against Pakistan.
