One of the most destructive batsmen in the business, David Warner has come down in support of his bowlers representing Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the Indian Premier League (IPL). David Warner believes his side’s death bowling is “probably the best” in the IPL.

SRH have been one of the most successful franchises in the cash-rich league in recent times. They won their 2nd IPL title in 2016 under Warner’s captaincy. A lot of its credit goes to the quality bowling line up they have had over the years. David Warner believes that this year is no different and they have the best death-bowling attack in the tournament.

The 2016 champions boast of a fine combination of pacers and spinners with India’s Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Afghan leg-spinner Rashid Khan being the prominent names.

“We’ve got a very good squad. One of the best things about our squad is we have great depths in our bowling,” Warner said in an Instagram live session with Sunrisers teammate Jonny Bairstow.

“We have got good upfront swing bowling and our death bowling is probably the best in the competition,” he added.

Uncertainty Looms Large Over IPL 2020 Future

With the coronavirus outbreak bringing the world to a standstill, the 13th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) was postponed from March 29 to April 15. India is currently on a 21-day lockdown to combat the deadly virus.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is now looking at the October-November window for the IPL. But the move can be possible only if the ICC decides to postpone the men’s T20 World Cup that is to be held later in the year, according to some sources in the board.

On April 10, latest reports suggested that the BCCI is probing into the July window to conduct the IPL and it could take place behind closed doors.

However, all hopes have once again vanished as the BCCI. On Thursday suspended the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 indefinitely in the light of the coronavirus pandemic.
