DDCA Names Virender Sehwag, Aakash Chopra as Members of Cricket Committee

Recently, the Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) has appointed a new cricket committee. The committee is comprised of former Indian and Delhi cricketer, Virender Sehwag, and Mr Rahul Sanghvi in particular.

Interestingly, it will also include former international cricketer and famous commentator Akash Chopra.
However, the Indian opening batsman, Gautam Gambhir will be a special invitee of the committee.
“The Cricket Committee is authorised to form various Selection Committees as per the recommendations made by the Lodha Committee and the BCCI guidelines for the State Association and to give valuable guidance to the Association for the improvement of Cricket in Delhi,” the DDCA said in a statement.

Moreover, in his tweet regarding the new selection panel, DDCA President and Editor-in-chief of India Tv, Rajat Sharma announced the members of the selection committee.
“I am pleased to share with you the constitution of Cricket Committee as per the recommendations made by the Lodha Committee and the BCCI guidelines for the State Associations,” Rajat Sharma tweeted.

The cricket committee comprises of following former cricket players
i. Virender Sehwag – Former International Player
ii. Rahul Sanghvi – Former International Player
iii. Aakash Chopra – Former International Player. (2/3)

New President of DDCA
Earlier, Editor-in-chief became the new President of DDCA after registering a significant victory. He received a total of 1,521 votes (54.40 per cent) in his favour.

Soon after winning the elections, Sharma said that the main objection is to transform the state cricket. But he said that his goal is to convert it into a leading cricketing state of the country.
So, it would be interesting how Virender Sehwag alongside Aakash Chopra would form a new partnership.
In addition, he further said that soon all these negative headlines would fade which Delhi cricket was facing at that time.
