Chennai Super Kings seamer Deepak Chahar has been one of their integral members in the previous two years. The yellow army has already established themselves as one of the most successful franchises in the IPL and Deepak Chahar’s addition to their pace battery has them more potent. Deepak Chahar played in 2016 and 2017 as well; however, it was since 2018, that he began coming into the limelight. He took ten wickets in 2018 and 22 in the next, expertly operating with the new ball to deceive the batsmen. In a video posted by CSK’s official Instagram handle, Chahar said that coming to Chennai is like coming home as the fans greet them with plenty of warmth.
Deepak Chahar said in the video clip that when we fly to Chennai, it feels nothing less than home as the athletes get bestowed with warmth and love more than in their hometown.
“When you’re flying to Chennai, it actually feels like you’re going home. Because the love we get in Chennai is more than what we get in our hometown,” Chahar told.

The 28-year old narrated an incident when his father went for an eye-treatment in Chennai 5-6 months ago. When asked whether they knew Deepak Chahar, a lot of people revealed to know the cricketer, which Deepak conceded is a massive thing for him. Chennai’s squad went to the Chepauk Stadium for a training camp ahead of the forthcoming edition of the IPL in the UAE. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the fans would not get to see the players playing in India.
“My father came 5-6 months ago for eye treatment. He was telling me that he asked everyone, ‘Do you know Deepak Chahar?’ He wanted to know how many people in Chennai know his son. Everyone knew me! And that is a very big thing for me. Wherever we go, people give us love,” he added.
