4,6,4,2,6,6,0,4,2,1 – Those were runs scored by Krishnappa Gowtham in 10 balls he faced in the ongoing Deodhar Final to give a solid finish for India-B against India-C. The knock made a massive difference for the team, in the end, to help his side put to a decent total on the board.
Krishnappa Gowtham entered to the crease when the scorecard read 245/6 at the end of 48 overs. One would have expected them to finish around 270 but the heroics of Krishnappa Gowtham gave them more than expected to go into the second innings with the momentum on their side.
Kedar Jadhav, Krishnappa Gowtham scored 31 runs off 49th over:
He took Diwesh Pathania to the cleaners to yield 31 runs off 49th overs. Krishnappa Gowtham contributed 28 runs in the over to the team before knocking yet another boundary in the final over of the innings.
Coming to the innings, earlier in the day, it was India-B skipper Parthiv Patel, who won the toss, elected to bat first. However, they didn’t get the fine start with Ruturaj walking back for a duck while Parthiv Patel failed to convert his start. He was quickly followed by Baba Aparajith thus giving advantage to Shubman Gill-led side.
Just when things looked out of control, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Kedar Jadhav combined in the middle to help their get out of the troubles. Though Jaiswal walked back after scoring a half-century, the all-rounder Vijay Shankar gave the perfect hand to Kedar Jadhav in the middle.

Following the 84-run partnership, the blitz from Krishnappa Gowtham turned things completely in favour of the team. During the course, Kedar Jadhav missed out his century, as he couldn’t turn out his special 86-run knock to a big one. Yet, it was a brilliant show from the pocket-dynamite Kedar Jadhav.

One of the best all-rounders should also be Krishnappa Gowtham. Unfortunately, he hasn't got his due. He is 31. ?

But then we don't pick players like Krishnappa Gowtham for our T20I side. Another reminder of what he can do @BCCI
FFS, please play him in T20Is ?
Not sure what Sundar, Dhawan & Manish are doing in the team. #INDBvINDC#INDCvINDB#DeodharTrophy @BCCIdomestic#INDvBAN— PK (@iPkoppula) November 4, 2019
