Not many all-rounders managed to trample records in the domestic circuit and Jalaj Saxena, a productive all-rounder is now carving out a reputation for himself as the brightest product as he offers a complete package in his arsenal.
The 32-year-old Indore-born all-rounder might have donned the Indian colours but has proved a point even at this age. Moreover, he has also chipped in with consistent performances over the past few years, proving that age is just a number.

Time and again, he has expressed frustration for not being chosen for the Indian national cricket team despite creating many records to his credit. He was the only uncapped cricketer to essay in excess of 6,000 runs and bag 300 dismissals in first-class cricket.
Jalaj Saxena registers best bowling figures in Deodhar Trophy:
In addition, he has registered the best ever bowling figures in the history of Deodhar Trophy as his stats read, 7/41 in 9.5 overs. Riding on Saxena’s spellbound performance after individual centuries from skipper Shubman Gill and Mayank Agarwal, India C got the better of India A by a massive winning margin of 232 runs, to show India A the exit door of the Deodhar Trophy.
Previously this year, IPL franchise Delhi Capitals spotted Saxena’s ability to cause problems to the opposition. With the bat, he kept hammering the balls with relative ease and with the ball, he ensured to keep the opposition batsmen in check.

Impressed by his all-round talent, Delhi Capitals roped his services at his base price of Rs 20 lakh. Unfortunately, he did not get even a single game to showcase his mettle and all he did was to warm the bench with melancholy.
For now, Saxena has played 91 List A games scoring 1,847 runs and claimed 105 wickets with his right arm off-break bowling.
