Devdutt Padikkal Comes Up With Brilliant Birthday Message For 'Legend' Gautam Gambhir

Former India opener Gautam Gambhir turned 39 on Wednesday. As expected, messages poured in from all the corners for the batting legend as the cricketing fraternity wished him on his special day.

Gautam Gambhir has been one of India’s greatest match-winners. The World Cup-winning star had retired from all forms of the game in 2018 after representing India for more than a decade.

The southpaw will always be remembered for his match-winning knocks in India’s victorious campaign at the ICC World T20 in 2007 and the 2011 World Cup. He had top-scored in both the finals. Gautam Gambhir represented India in 58 Tests, 147 ODIs and 37 T20Is. He scored  over 10,000 international runs. In 2009, he was also named ICC Test player of the year.

Devdutt Padikkal is having a stunning outing in his maiden IPL season. The 20-year old has already scored three fifties in seven games and is one of the prime reasons behind RCB’s fine start to the season. With 5 wins from seven games, RCB are currently at the third spot in the points table.

Devdutt Padikkal became a household name last year after taking the domestic arena by storm. He finished as the top-scorer in both the 50-over Vijay Hazare Trophy and the Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 Trophy last season.
