India’s young batting sensation, Devdutt Padikkal has named former cricketer Gautam Gambhir as his role model while growing up aspiring to become a cricketer. In his first full-fledged season at the senior level, left-handed opener Devdutt Padikkal made all the right noises. The 19-year-old from Bengaluru topped the batting charts in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy tournament with 580 runs.
Gautam Gambhir, on the other hand, has been one of the most prolific batsmen in Indian cricket. He has played more than 200 games for India across all formats and scored all most 10000 runs at the international level.
Gambhir’s knock in the final of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2011 remains to be one of the most special knocks in India’s cricketing history. Royal Challengers Bangalore’s new youngster, Devdutt Padikkal has now heaped praise on Gautam Gambhir.

Major Concerns Still Stand Firm Over IPL 2020 Future
Devdutt Padikkal plays for the Virat Kohli-led Royal Challengers Bangalore in the most competitive T20 league tournament in the world, the Indian Premier League.
With the coronavirus outbreak bringing the world to a standstill, the 13th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) was postponed from March 29 to April 15. India is currently on a 21-day lockdown to combat the deadly virus.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is now looking at the October-November window for the IPL. But the move can be possible only if the ICC decides to postpone the men’s T20 World Cup that is to be held later in the year, according to some sources in the board.
