Well, in the modern day, where the technology helps you to make a lot of things sitting from home, the Chief Financial Official Santosh Rangnekar is trying to follow the old tradition, which was right denied by CoA member Diana Edulji. It was not the first time by Diana Edulji to reject CFO’s plea, as it was the case in previous scenarios as well.

As per DNA, Santosh has always tried to be in the news by claiming false news of Amitabh Choudary threatening him to kill. Later, he asked for a hefty INR 1 Crore hike in the salary, which has also been denied by CoA panel. It once again caused a stir within the BCCI.

CFO’s further tours are kept on hold by Diana Edulji:

Well, in the latest, Santosh wants to visit Australia in order to pay the IPL fees of the players, which is quite funny. The board believes that it can be done online via a video call conference as well. Choudary believes that the thinking by Diana Edulji to refuse the order was right.

“It is laughable for everyone in BCCI that for reconciliatio. CFO needs to travel all the way to Australia at a time when email and video calling is available. A few days back, National Cricket Academy (NCA) COO Tufan Ghosh went to Australia on BCCI’s trip to actually watch Australian Open tennis,” Amitabh quoted.

”This was not even intimated to me. Being in-charge of NCA, and I only came to know about his visit through social media posts. Now, it’s the turn of CFO to go and pay IPL money to Cricket Australia. It could be done sitting here,” Choudhary justified the objections raised by Edulji in this regard.

As per DNA, it is learnt from an insider that Edulji has put all Rangnekar’s travels on hold. It will be the same till she is satisfied with the answer of CFO provides in this regard. Even the office bearers in BCCI — acting secretary Amitabh Choudhary and treasurer Anirudh — have expressed their displeasure over the trips of BCCI employees in recent times.

Recently, CFO person has visited West Indies regarding the same without the approval from CoA. It certainly didn’t sit well with Diana Edulji, who asked for a detail report in his explanation. She also asked to inform the official name, who gave him permission for the trip.
