Did BCCI Troll Pakistan By Posting Picture Of Fans Across A Border?

The Pulwama attack that took place last month has pretty much further deteriorated the cricketing ties between India and Pakistan and rightly so. The dastardly attack carried out by Pakistani militant group Jaish-e-Mohammed had claimed the lives of 44 CRPF personnels. Ever since then, the BCCI and the Indian Cricketing fratnerity has done all they can to distance themselves from Pakistan cricket.
Last month, the Cricket Club of India had covered the portrait of former Pakistan skipper Imran Khan in its restaurant. Later, several stadiums had removed the pictures of the Pakistani players from their premises. Later, IMG-Reliance had dealt a huge blow to Pakistan Cricket Board by cutting its ties with it. IMG-Reliance had signed a deal to produce television coverage of the ongoing Pakistan Super League. Before that, DSport, which was broadcasting the game in India, had also stopped the coverage.
And it looks like BCCI took a sly dig at Pakistan and its fans on Saturday when India and Australia were fighting it out in the first ODI in Pakistan. BCCI posted a picture on its official Twitter account of fans watching the and on looking closely, the people could be seen standing across a barbed wire fence.
BCCI captioned the picture, “Where are you watching today’s game from?”

Several fans sincerely answered to the BCCI’s query but few felt it was a sarcastic dig at Pakistan.
India, meanwhile, beat Australia by six wickets to take the lead in the five-match series. Batting first, Australia managed to post a modest total of 236 for 7. Usman Khawaja top-scored with 50 while Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Shami and Kuldeep Yadav picked up two wickets apiece.

In reply, India were in a spot of bother after being reduced to 99 for 4. However, Kedar Jadhav and MS Dhoni bailed India out trouble by scoring fifties and sharing an unbeaten partnership of 141 runs. Jadhav scored 81 while Dhoni scored 59. The second game of the series will be played on March 5 in Nagpur.
