Just when things looked settled for Wriddhiman Saha in the International Cricket, he was struck with an injury, which saw him out of the Indian National Cricket Team. In between, the young Rishabh Pant utilised the opportunity to cement his place in the side and evolved as the first-choice wicketkeeper in Test format.

Its been almost 9 months for the wicketkeeper-batsman participating in a professional game. Speaking of the same, Saha quoted that he wants to take the game like playing after a small break. He is hopeful of performing well for the team in the most-followed domestic tournament in India.

“It definitely feels great to back in the mix after an injury layoff. Firstly for a sportsperson, there is nothing like the feeling of returning to the game and I don’t feel like I’ve been away for too long, rather just a couple of weeks or so, like a short break,” Saha told CricketNext. Right now my focus is solely on helping Bengal do well in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.”
