The 36-year old stated that he wanted to do for the former Indian captain, who has given so much to his country and has helped him in his all-round development too. Having listened to praises from Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, and Hardik Pandya, Dwayne Bravo holds immense respect for his captain at Chennai. As captain of India, the 38-year old has guided India to a T20 World Cup in 2007, 50-over World Cup in 2011, and a Champions Trophy in 2013.

I want to do something for him. He is coming to the end of his career. He had a great career. He had a great impact on my personal career and also so many other cricketers. You listen to interviews from other cricketers like Rohit Sharma, Hardik (Pandya) and even Virat (Kohli), they all praise him where their careers are concerned. He gave so many cricketers opportunities. He also won titles for the country,” the medium-pace bowling all-rounder told Harsha Bhogle for Cricbuzz.
