Dwayne Bravo Ruled Out Of IPL 2020 Due To Injury

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) all-rounder Dwayne Bravo is ruled out of the remainder of the IPL 2020 following a groin injury he picked up during the match against Delhi Capitals. His injury in the match had forced MS Dhoni to hand the last over to Ravindra Jadeja which caused plenty of criticism on the cricketing circuit.

CSK, however, are unlikely to opt for any replacement for Bravo. According to a report in news agency ANI, the franchise CEO Kasi Viswanathan confirmed that Bravo will no longer take part in the IPL 2020 as groin injury has ruled him out of the tournament.

Dwayne Bravo will be returning home in a day or two: CSK CEO

Bravo missed out on the initial matches in the IPL 2020. He however returned to join the squad late but the injury marred his time in the ongoing season. The franchise CEO has also confirmed that Bravo will return home in a couple of days.

“No, Bravo isn’t playing any more part this time round and the groin injury has ruled him out. He will be flying back in a day or two,” the CEO said.

CSK have virtually knocked out of the IPL 2020 with their loss against Rajasthan Royals on Monday with the franchise left with four matches to play. Bravo has been an essential part in the Chennai franchise over the years and contributed for the side from the fore.

However, CSK have struggled big time in this season, with Dhoni opened up a can of worms with his statement after CSK slumped to yet another defeat in the IPL 2020. Dhoni mentioned that CSK have not been up to the mark this year but was unhappy with youngsters performance.

CSK continue to remain at the bottom of the table with three wins from 10 matches.
