After the enthralling day one of the Edgbaston Test, the second day started on a fine fashion for India. The team India first rattled the final wicket of England after adding two runs on the board. Meanwhile, India lost Murali Vijay for a cheap score.

Initially, both the openers of India, Murali Vijay and Shikhar Dhawan started the things cautiously. The Tamil Nadu batsman showed his class by knocking the classy drives.

Meanwhile, Shikhar Dhawan stroked it beautifully to keep England’s scenario off the line and lengths. However, it was Sam Curran who handed the first breakthrough of innings.

His superb inswinger from around the wicket got better off Murali Vijay who failed to get a bat on it. The Umpire, Aleem Dar was not at all interested in the appeal from Sam Curran and the Co.

Despite losing one review, Joe Root took the brave call to check upstairs. The replay suggested three red lines thus indicating Murali Vijay to walk back to the pavilion.

Earlier in the match, England finished with 287 runs on the board. Skipper Joe Root has been the prime scorer with 80 runs to his name while Jonny Bairstow knocked crucial 70.

The sole spinner for India, Ravichandran Ashwin has been the pick of bowlers for India with four wickets while Mohammed Shami picked three wickets. Umesh Yadav and Ishant Sharma chipped in with each wicket.
