ENG vs IND 2018: 3rd Test - Nottinghamshire Makes Day Five Entry Free Following Harsh Criticism

Nottinghamshire authority has decided to make the entry fee free for the fans on day five of the third Test between England and India at Trent Bridge.

Meanwhile, India needs only one wicket to bounce back in the five-match Test series. Adil Rashid partnered Stuart Broad and James Anderson to take the game to day five. He added a fifty-run partnership with Broad before adding another 20 with Anderson to stretch the game.

Previously, Jasprit Bumrah staged a great comeback to almost seal the game on day four. He bagged a five-wicket haul to repay early trust shown by India skipper Virat Kohli. Meanwhile, the England middle-order put up a brilliant fight riding on Ben Stokes and Jos Buttler. The duo added 168 runs before England lost four wickets in the afternoon session of day four.

They dominated the afternoon session as India struggled to pick any wicket. the duo played some good looking shots and took the attack on the opposition. As a result, Buttler reached his debut hundred while Stokes scored yet another half-century.

Bumrah provided the much-needed breakthrough picking Buttler as England witnessed a landslide after that. India now needs only one wicket to win the Test at Trent Bridge.

Entry free on day five at Trent Bridge

The Nottinghamshire authority has decided to scrap the tickets for the last day of the third Test. Previously, they had set up a huge price which came under the scanner and the fans lashed at them.

However, after much deliberation, they have decided the make the entry free at Trent Bridge. Furthermore, all the ticketholders will get their money back in due time. India only need one wicket to make a come back in the series against England.

The gates open at 9 am and there will be donations collected for charity at the gate.

We’ve slept on the day five pricing policy &, frankly, we got it wrong. All current ticket holders will be refunded & admission will be free on the gate with donations collected for charity. Gates open at 9am & we’d love to welcome you for the conclusion of the game,” the tweet read.
