South Africa star Dale Steyn has heaped praise on James Anderson for his no-nonsense approach while bowling.

Anderson is once again showing why he is one of the best of this generation by giving India a hard time in the ongoing series. The Indian batsmen have not quite managed to pick up the pacer in the series. Anderson began the series by taking 4 wickets in Birmingham. While the stats would indicate that the Indian batsmen had done well against Anderson, it was not so. Anderson had given the batsmen a torrid time but was unlucky to take just four wickets.

However, in the very next game, he tormented India to prove his worth once again. Currently the number one Test bowler, Anderson starred with the ball taking five wickets to help England bowl India out for a paltry 107 in the first innings of the ongoing Lord’s Test.  He finished with 5/20 which is his best innings figures against India. He also climbed second on the list of bowlers with the maximum wickets at home with 353 wickets.

On Sunday, Anderson once again hurt India to put England firmly on top. In reply to India’s 107, England scored a mammoth 396 for 7 before declaring their innings. Anderson then dismissed both the Indian openers in quick succession to push India on the backfoot. He first dismissed Murali Vijay for a duck before sending back KL Rahul to reduce India to 13 for 2.

And his approach while bowling soon drew praise from none other than Steyn, another modern-day great.’s

“I love how quick Jimmy is between deliveries. No stares, no words, no fuss. Gets back to his mark, bowls with intent, intelligence and great energy. Man knows what he wants (wkts) and most of all, he knows how to get them.  Impressive bro ??”
