England and Pakistan squared off in an entertaining Test match in Manchester with the hosts coming out on top by three wickets. While Pakistan arguably remained at the front for the most part of the game, it was the partnership of 139 between Jos Buttler and Chris Woakes that turned the game on its head.

Ahead of the must-win game for Pakistan, their batting line-up needs to pull themselves together. The likes of Babar Azam, Asad Shafiq, and Abid Ali needs to raise their game further for the visitors to thrive. In their first-ever Test in Southampton, Pakistan’s bowling attack requires better handling of pressure while they fared better for the most part.

As for England, the home side will be without Ben Stokes as they look to seal the series. England’s batting order requires to perform more consistently too with skipper Joe Root needing a big score off his bat. While Jos Buttler saved his spot, for the time being, their bowling attack might most likely undergo a shuffling. Veteran James Anderson is expected to make way for bowling all-rounder Sam Curran.

The third day of the Test is the only one where a very minimum amount of rain is anticipated, forecasted at 3%. The last day of the game has the maxium showers expected with 99%. Hence, Pakistan’s chances of levelling the three-match series could take a hit.
