England Star Eoin Morgan Ties Knot With Tara Ridgway

England’s limited-overs skipper Eoin Morgan tied the knot  with longtime love Tara Ridgway in the United Kingdom. The love birds exchanged vows at the historic Babington House in Somerset.

The wedding was attended by family members, friends as well as several cricketers. Former New Zealand captain Brendon McCullum was master of ceremony at the wedding. The other notable cricketers who attended the wedding were former English Test captain Alastair Cook and England stars Jason Roy, Steve Finn, Mark Wood and Jos Buttler.

Tara, who is a marketing co-ordinator for fashion house Burberry in London, first met Eoin Morgan when she was just 17 in 2010. Then 24, Morgan was still struggling to cement his spot in the side.

Tara Ridgway was just 17 when she first met Eoin Morgan on Rundle St, Adelaide, in late 2010. Then 24, Eoin was yet to establish a place in the English team. He met Tara in Adelaide where England was taking on Australia in the Ashes at Adelaide Oval.

A graduate from Scotch College,  Tara moved to London to live with Morgan about three years ago.

Eoin Morgan, meanwhile, has yet not cemented his place in the Test side and is unlikely to do so. However, he has become one of England’s leading stars in ODIs and T20Is. Captain of both the teams, Eoin Morgan is responsible for England’s remarkable turnaround in ODI. Under him, England is currently placed at the top of ICC ODI Rankings. Last year, he guided England to the semifinal of the Champions Trophy at home.

So far, Morgan has played 212 ODIs and 77 T20I, scoring over 8,000 runs with the help of 11 centuries and 50 fifties.
