Kuldeep Yadav was termed as one of the guys to watch out for on the tour of England. Fair to say, the chinaman bowler hasn’t let down anyone. After picking up 7 wickets in the two T20I’s against Ireland, the Uttar Pradesh lad was at his supreme best, as he single handedly derailed England’s batting lineup.
With the likes of Jos Buttler and Jason Roy going steady and then Buttler forming a decent stand with Alex Hales, India needed quick wickets. Once the powerplay was done, skipper Virat Kohli brought on his gun bowler, in search of a wicket or two.
His calls were answered as Kuldeep first castled Alex Hales, round his legs. Fair to say, Hales was struggling miserably and his stay in the middle was a painful sight.
However, Kuldeep’ s moment to watch out for came in the 14th over of the innings. The over completely changed the complexion of the game, as the wrist spinner picked up three wickets. In the context of the game and considering the wickets taken of some really dangerous men, Kuldeep turned the tide for India.
He began by deceiving England skipper Eoin Morgan with his slow pace, as a poorly timed slog was caught right by Virat Kohli near the boundary. The best wicket to follow was that of the in form Jonny Bairstow.
Trying to defend on the front foot, Bairstow was left flummoxed as the googly conned the right hander and caught him off balance. Wicketkeeper MS Dhoni did the rest by taking the bails off in time.
On the very next delivery, Joe Root walked down the track and it was another googly. Despite MS Dhoni failing to collect the ball cleanly, he had ample of time to have a second whip at the stumps, and he did it successfully.
