James Anderson was breathing fire.
Meanwhile, England was able to land the first punch in the second Test match. India was skittled out a mere 107 when James Anderson and company breathed down the neck of the visitor’s batsmen. No tourists batter was able to get going as Anderson wreaked havoc in the Indian batting line-up.
James Anderson was able to scalp five wickets and gave away only 20 runs in his bowling spell. Anderson was right on the money with his line and length as he made life difficult for the Indian batsmen in arduous conditions. England’s pack leader was able to bowl perfect outswingers as Indian batsmen had no answer to tackle his swing.
Furthermore, Chris Woakes was able to take out the big fish Virat Kohli. Woakes was also accurate with his line and length as he took two wickets.
Meanwhile, Joe Root won the toss and decided to make the most of the conditions as he sent India in to bat. The Lord’s pitch is green and the overcast conditions made it perfect for the England bowlers. It was a minefield and Indian batsmen were seen searching for cover.
India must bounce back with the ball to keep themselves alive not only in the match but also in the series.
