A confident England side will look to wrap the series when they face India in the third of the five-match Test series at Trent Bridge starting on August 18 (Saturday). Here we are with the weather report.

Meanwhile, India is 0-2 down and will be desperate to bounce back to keep the series alive. Things look grim for India at the moment, but coach Ravi Shastri said there was not a single ‘negative bone’ in the team and called for batsmen to show some grit.

The visitors are likely to go in with a change or two to reverse their fortunes. Rishabh Pant is set to make his debut in Test cricket replacing Dinesh Karthik, who had a poor tour so far.

Fit-again Jasprit Bumrah is also likely to slot in the first XI of India. Virat Kohli indicated they might go in for an extra batsman which implies Hardik Pandya will make his way out.

On the other hand, a rampant England had brought in their first-match hero Ben Stokes. However, unfortunately, Sam Curran, who showed a lot of promise has to sit out. Curran was the man of the match of the Edgbaston Test against India.

England will only be worried about their opening combination who are yet to strike in this ongoing series.

Weather Report

The weather will be on the cooler side with a wind blowing suggesting the opening day will be for the fast bowlers. However, the weather will improve as the game progresses.

Moreover, there are little chances of precipitation, and it will increase as the game progress.

England had named Rashid in their XI is a strong indication about the pitch. The pitch doesn’t look overly green from afar, not by English standards anyway. The indications are it will live up to Trent Bridge’s reputation of being a slow seamer.
