Having lost the series, team India will put in all their effort to finish the five-match Test series on a high when they face England in a dead rubber commencing on September 7 (Friday) at Kennington Oval. Here we are with the weather report.
Meanwhile, England wrapped up the five-match Test series beating India by 60 runs in Southampton. After more than two months, ten international matches and at least 21 full days of cricket, the England vs India juggernaut has reached its final stop.
Furthermore, this will mark the end of opener Alastair Cook‘s glorious career. The former England captain will be in for a grand farewell when he dons the national shirt for the one last time.
However, the Indians will look to give an appropriate farewell to Cook when comes out to bat for the last time. The visitors will prefer a 3-2 scoreline at the end of the series instead of 4-1, or even 3-1, unlikely as a draw has appeared all series. For that to happen, though, India will have to cross the line and go all out against England.
Weather Report
The Oval in London is amongst the most spin-friendly pitches in England. The long boundaries square of the wicket might also encourage captains to field more than one frontline spinner. The hosts may go in with an unchanged XI, while India may consider bringing in Jadeja.
No rain is there on the cards in London for the coming five days, so we should get a full-length Test match. The weather is likely to be fair on day one, with more overcast conditions expected later in the game.
As per, Accu Weather, the temperature will range around 16-18 degrees Celsius. However, with the wind blowing around in the opening hours both India and England will look to bowl first.
