England vs India 2018: Ajit Agarkar Sees Rahul Dravid's Feedback in Prithvi Shaw's Call-up

After BCCI announced the squad for the remaining two Tests against England, all eyes would be on Prithvi Shaw. However, it didn’t serve well to the critic masters with Prithvi Shaw getting picked over Mayank Agarwal. Meanwhile, Ajit Agarkar is happy to see Rahul Dravid’s boy making it to the squad.
The former India fast bowler added the feedback of Rahul Dravid could have pushed the Indian selectors to go with Prithvi Shaw. The Mumbai youngster replaced Murali Vijay in the team alongside Hanuma Vihari for Kuldeep Yadav.

When Mumbai selectors were in a tangle of choosing Prithvi Shaw for Ranji Trophy, Rahul Dravid gave them a required assurance to play him in the domestic tournament.
Much to the same, the Indian chief selector MSK Prasad must have taken feedback from Rahul Dravid to replace Murali Vijay with Prithvi Shaw.
Speaking of the same, Ajit Agarkar expressed his happiness for Shaw. He felt more than getting a game, being around with the senior players will boost the confidence in the youngster as a batsman.
“If Rahul has given them the feedback, which I assume they would have sought. That’s all you would want to know. He is not going to promote him for his promise or age” Agarkar told Sportster on Thursday.
“Even if he doesn’t get a game, just to be around the group. And, a happy change room will work wonders for him. I am sure this exposure will make him an even better batsman,” Agarkar added.
Prithvi Shaw, Hanuma Vihari travelled back to England:
After completing the tours to England and South Africa, the newbies in the Test circuit, Hanuma Vihari and Prithvi Shaw travelled back to England. They were initially selected in the squad to face Australia-A side.
However, it would be interesting to see whether the individuals will get a nod in the upcoming Tests or not. Probably, they will be benched for the Southampton Test unless any forced injury to the regulars.
