England vs India 2018: Danielle Wyatt Predicts a Sensational Test Series

England women’s cricketer, Danielle Wyatt is hoping for a sensational Test series between England vs India especially after witnessing the highlights of the 1st Test at Edgbaston.

The home team returned victorious by 31 runs to take a 1-0 lead in the five-match series. The fortunes of the match fluctuated from one side to the other. It was totally a see-saw battle which saw the bowlers of both teams coming out on top.

Captain Joe Root and Jonny Bairstow scored impressive knocks and helped England get to a comfortable position of 214/3. However, a magnificent run out from Virat Kohli changed the complexion of the match.

England vs India was always going to be an exciting clash, and it lived up to its reputation. However, in the end, hosts England were the ones who returned triumphant and happier.

The Indian bowlers came back quite strongly in the 1^st innings and bagged their last seven wickets for not many. 287 was never a huge score under any stress of imagination.

However, India needed to bat out of their skin to get anywhere close to it. When they got reduced to 100/5, the destination looked quite far. However, it was a certain Virat Kohli whose perseverance paid off in the end.

The India captain batted brilliantly with the lower order and ensured India reached 13 runs adrift of the English 1^st innings total. Virat Kohli scored a magnificent 149 which was the sole reason behind India’s comeback in the match.

Yet again the Indian bowlers were superb. Courtesy a five-wicket haul from Ishant Sharma, England got reduced to 87/7, and the match was in India’s grasp.

However, the 20-year-old Sam Curran smashed quickfire 63 off 65 deliveries which brought back into the game. Again India was within touching distance of the total. Hence, Danielle Wyatt believes we have a series on our hands and rightfully so.
