England vs India 2018: James Anderson Reveals his Favourite Opponent

England’s pack leader James Anderson has revealed his favourite opponent. Anderson is doing a fine job in the ongoing five-match series against India. In fact, the swing master is the leading wicket-getter in the series with 21 scalps. Anderson has scalped 561 Test wickets and thus he is two wickets shy from Glenn McGrath’s tally of 563 wickets. Therefore, Anderson is expected to leapfrog his Ashes rival.

Subsequently, Anderson will become the leading wicket-taker as a fast bowler in the red ball version. Jimmy will also become the fourth highest wicket-getter after Muttiah Muralitharan, Shane Warne and Anil Kumble.

James Anderson vs Virat Kohli contest has been the cynosure of all eyes.

Meanwhile, James Anderson said his favourite opponent is Indian skipper, Virat Kohli, while speaking in a rapid-fire interview on Sony Six.

Jimmy also revealed his favourite bowler, as he said that apart from himself, he likes Dale Steyn. Furthermore, the veteran fast bowler revealed Hugh Jackman is his favourite actor. Anderson also said Alastair Cook, who is playing his swansong, is the funniest person in the England camp.

Meanwhile, James Anderson vs Virat Kohli has been a mini battle within a battle. Anderson has at times troubled Virat Kohli in the ongoing series.

In fact, James Anderson has been a bit unlucky as Kohli has been dropped on a couple of occasions on his bowling. However, the England vanguard bowler hasn’t able to pick his wicket. Thus, England slip cordon hasn’t been a friend to their pack leader.

On the other hand, Virat Kohli has been in prolific form with the bat in the ongoing series. The Indian captain has scored 593 runs in the nine innings at an average of 65.89. Therefore, Kohli has updated his England’s CV in style.

James Anderson was once again right on the money in the final session of Day 2 as he scalped two wickets.

Meanwhile, England is in a dominating position as they are ahead by 158 runs.
