England vs India 2018: Sony Sports Trolled After Referring 'Stuart Broad' as 'Chris Broad'

Of late, the broadcasting giant in Sony Sports has been pretty ordinary. Since, India’s tour of South Africa, Sony Pictures Network (SPN) is receiving the flak from the spectators for their poor broadcasting of the sport. Now, they goofed up with the name of Stuart Broad, who is the son of Chris Broad.

Earlier, they were trolled on Twitter for their sheer concentration on advertising more than the sport. Meanwhile, they were once again mocked by the Indian cricket fans for their blunder in televising the most-followed game.

In a rain-affected game at Lord’s, England thumped the visitors quite convincingly. The English bowlers have been quite impressive. Meanwhile, the day four of the Test entirely belonged to lanky Broad, who bowled beautifully.

After the lunch break,  Broad bowled with superb energy to rattle Ajinkya Rahane, Cheteshwar Pujara, Virat Kohli and Dinesh Karthik in a quick succession giving England rights to seal the game.

After the wickets of Indian skipper and wicketkeeper in the consecutive deliveries, the lanky fast bowler was on a hat-trick. While Highlighting his name on the giant screen, Sony channel goofed up by naming Stuart Broad as Chris, who serves as the match referee while holding the dominant position in the ICC

Technically, Stuart can also be termed as Chris Broad as his full name reads Stuart Christopher John Broad. He is the son of the former English cricketer named Chris Broad.

After the conclusion of Lord’s Test, both the teams set to take their drive to Trent Bridge to lock horns in the third Test, starting August 18th.

The upcoming Test will be a make or break for Indians, as the win for England will draw curtains on the hopes of the Indian team.

Following the third Test at Nottingham, the action shifts to Trent Bridge, Southampton on August 30th. Then, the final game will be played at Kennington Oval, London.
