England vs India 2018: Tamim Iqbal Congratulates Virat Kohli on his 23rd Hundred

The opening batsman of Bangladesh, Tamim Iqbal congratulated India skipper, Virat Kohli on his brilliant ton. Virat’s 23rd Test hundred came in the third Test match at Trent Bridge, Nottingham against England.

The tweet of Tamim Iqbal reads as:

“@imVkohli is unbelievable what an innings ??????”

It was century number 23 in Test cricket for the India skipper that had put the visitors’ noses in front.

With the help of brilliant figures of 103, India set a massive target of 521 runs for England to chase.

It was the second ton for Virat Kohli in this series. Before the tour, he had an average of 13.40 in England during his miserable stint in 2014.

However, Virat has made a grand entry this time by scoring his maiden century on the English soil in the Edgbaston Test. He completed his 200 runs in the Test, and further amassed name number in the ongoing Test in Nottingham.

Unfortunately, he found no other shoulder to rely upon and eventually came second. Meanwhile, he proved his mettle in England by scoring two magnificent tons in just three innings including two fifties as well.

In the first inning at Trent Bridge, Kohli missed his milestone only by three runs. He went for a big drive when a ball took an edge and deposited into the hands of Ben Stokes at the slips.

However, things seemed brighter in second innings, as the India captain notched up a brilliant hundred to help India give a massive target of 521 runs to England.

The vice-captain of India, Ajinkya Rahane came back in form, as he scored brilliant 81 in the first innings. Same was the case with Cheteshwar Pujara who scored 72 in the second one after a long pause on the runs in the recent past.

However, Hardik Pandya’s run-a-ball 52 towards the end further to add woes and miseries of England at Trent Bridge. England, on the other hand, managed to survive tricky nine overs before the umpire called it stumps of Day 3.
