The selection of Prithvi Shaw and Hanuma Vihari caught all the eyeballs in the recent squad announcement by BCCI for England Tests. Meanwhile, the Indian fans on Twitter want Prithvi Shaw to get his maiden cap at Southampton.
Of late, the social media platform Twitter became the post box for fans feeling. They are expressing their concerns for the Indian team and giving their ample suggestion to see India winning the game in England.
Prithvi Shaw should get a chance – The Twitter world
The Mumbai youngster has grown strength to strength in the career so far. He led India to the victory in ICC Under 19 cricket World Cup and then grabbed a deal in the Indian Premier League 2018 as well.
Prithvi Shaw impressed one and all with his performance for Delhi Daredevils and then landed his feet in England for India A tour. He once again impressed the selectors by scoring significant numbers to his name facing Englishmen.
However, after a heroic ride as an opening batsman, Shaw got the call-up from the selectors under the assurance of Rahul Dravid. Meanwhile, the Indian fans want Prithvi Shaw to get a chance right away.
As per the performance basis, KL Rahul fared pretty poorly for India in the Test series so far. On the other hand, Prithvi Shaw has been exceptional with his tallies in the recently concluded tour to England.
Coming to the other opener in the team, Shikhar Dhawan had faced axed in the second Test. But, in the short stint so far, Shikhar Dhawan looked quite decent while tackling the English pacers.
However, it would be interesting to see whether the Indian management would try Prithvi Shaw in place of KL Rahul. Perhaps, KL Rahul got the advantage of being the best fielder for India in the slip cordon.
Here are the few tweets:
I hope Prithvi Shaw gets chance in Playing Xi in 4th match.. Much better than KL Rahul..

Prithvi Shaw should open in the 4th Test in place of KL Rahul. The 18-year- old deserves a chance to show his ability.#ENGvIND #Prithvishaw

Replace KL rahul with Prithvi Shaw, he deserves atleast 2 Test to show what he is capable of. Vihari can replace Pujara, he might bring some variety in batting. Pujara is too slow. He should be picked only for home series.

Kl Rahul 3 test – 94 runs
2 Odi – 9. Runs
3 T20 – 126 runs
He basically didn't score above 40 after 1st Hundred in T20 match .
Time for Prithvi Shaw to play ,but he won't after the performance of Rahul in slips— adithyeah (@adithya_naik97) August 22, 2018
Sir, my prediction is Prithvi shaw should open the batting with dhawan that will be great combination, yes kl rahul played well but want to see prithvi shaw in this stage….tell me your views sir @vikrantgupta73 @MadanLal1983 @Ateet_Sharma @sports_tak

Please make prithvi shaw play in the next test at 3. Make KL Rahul keep wickets to make way for him. Shaw is a great potential. Must give him opportunity.
