Team India had yet another disappointing outing on day three of the second Test against England at the Lord’s Cricket Ground in London, as the hosts are 250 runs ahead at the end of the day’s play. But the visitors were trolled as the beef was listed in the lunch menu.

Meanwhile, England openers Keaton Jennings and Alastair Cook started on luxury with India seamers offering too many on their pads. Initially, they soon found their range, and later both fell within the space of six deliveries.

It brought the debutant Ollie Pope on the crease along with England skipper Joe Root. Pope looked confident and played some gorgeous looking shots during his short stay at the crease.

On the other hand, Joe Root looked uncomfortable throughout his stay. Furthermore, his wicket at the stroke of lunch gave India the hope of keeping England in check.

As the team headed to lunch, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) took to Twitter to announce the menu for lunch. However, it created a stir among the fans, which featured a dish called ‘braised beef pasta’.

Moreover, the menu also had chicken and paneer, and it was upto the players to decide what to eat.

Here is how the Twitter reacted on seeing beef in India’s menu list:

Notably, the menu was common for both teams, and it was up to the individual choice of the players to decide what they want to have.

However, the Twittersphere slammed the management for serving beef in the lunch menu.
