England vs India, 3rd Test: Decision on Ben Stokes is Yet to Be Made - Trevor Bayliss

Here comes the latest twist with England head coach, Trevor Bayliss, who isn’t sure about the place of Ben Stokes for the Trent Bridge Test against India. With the legal charges being removed, one would have expected Ben Stokes to enter the English playing XI directly. But, the coach has other ideas to stun the fans.

Stokes missed out a game at Lord’s. Additionally, following his presence at the court over his Brawl in Bristol issue last year in September. However, he was given a clean chit by the English court to continue his cricketing career.

The chief coach Bayliss added that the all-rounder will be assessed ahead of the third Test. He could find a place in the playing XI. Ben Stokes has been out of the game since the conclusion of the 1st Test at Edgbaston.

He was out from Lord’ Test and then was busy with the court issues. Ben Stokes joined the camp last night and is coping well at the moment. However, the head coach wants to have a look at him for the next two days.

”Trevor Bayliss says Ben Stokes will be assessed over the next two days with England Cricket yet to decide on a team to play BCCI in the third Test,” Sky Sports revealed via Twitter.

Meanwhile, it can also be the tactical statement as well. The head coaches often pass those statement to play with the mindset of opposition. However, the situation looks like the statement by Bayliss is a true one.

England are in the driver’s seat:

With the two victories in the first two games at Edgbaston and Lord’s, the hosts are very near to clinch the series.

If they manage to win the game at Trent Bridge, they will bag yet another Test series victory in their kitty.

Even a draw would do a world of good for England as they will escape the possibility of losing the series.

However, it would be interesting to see how the things fall into place at Trent Bridge as Trevor Bayliss is a satisfied with the results against India for England.
