England vs India: Star Sports Take a dig at James Anderson Over Failing to Dismiss Virat Kohli

Broadcasting giant, Star Sports take a subtle dig at England pace spearhead James Anderson for not being able to dismiss Team India skipper Virat Kohli as he has been exceptional throughout the series so far with a Test to go.

England seals the Test series by winning the fourth Test match by 60 runs in SouthamptonIndia leader Kohli has been sensational throughout the tournament with the willow.

However, he is still the highest run-getter in the series scoring 544 runs in eight innings. Kohli scored two brilliant centuries in which he was just short of a run to score 150. Moreover, he also scored three half-centuries wherein he was just short of three runs in the first innings of the third Test to convert it into a ton.

Furthermore, he showed some tactical cricketing shots off his bat and showed the leadership on the ground.

India could only win the third Test by a massive margin of 203 runs.

However, speaking about the England pacer, Anderson, he bowled his heart out. Meanwhile, he bagged 19 wickets to his name. Yet, he tried to thrash Indian skipper quite a few times but has been unable to do so.

Anderson is a class quality bowler for England team as well as an international bowler. He has 559 wickets in his name with the best figure of seven for 42.

Moreover, Anderson has given his best to trashed Virat Kohli to reduce the pressure but failed to do so because of some poor dropped catches in the slip region.

Star Sports said that Anderson failed to take the wicket of Virat Kohli in the series. 

The sports channel mocked Anderson by saying that he feels like, previously Kohli was so innocent and now he has turned into a hero. Anderson dismissed Kohli for five times in first eight Test matches wherein he scored 30 runs off Anderson’s delivery.

However, Anderson couldn’t dismiss a single time in the next eight Test matches wherein he scored 187 runs off Anderson’s delivery.
