Faiz Fazal has been on song for his domestic team and made the most of his chances. However, he did not get enough chances to play for Team India. Faiz Fazal made his ODI debut in 2016 and it was the only international match he played. Fazal, however, never got a chance to represent the country again.

On his debut, Fazal notched up the score of unbeaten 55 against Zimbabwe. Revealing his thoughts, the Vidarbha captain said, he honestly has no idea why he never played for India again. He, however, reckoned that it might be due to competition for a spot in the national team. Fazal doesn’t has any regrets as he feels, he was fortunate to play for India.

“I don’t know to be honest. You know the competition in the Indian team is very tough. I feel very fortunate that I could play for India. Because that was the aim to play for the country, nothing can be compared with that,” Vidarbha captain Faiz Fazal said on the SportsTiger YouTube show ‘Off the Field’.

“I still aim to play for the Indian Test team. Yes, I feel disappointed that I couldn’t continue my place in the Indian team but better than asking me, I don’t know, you should ask few other people in the circuit.”
