Fans React As Eoin Morgan Visits Sheikh Zayed Mosque In Traditional Attire Before Leaving UAE

Kolkata Knight Riders skipper Eoin Morgan has ended his sojourn in the UAE with a visit to the famous Sheikh Zayed Mosque in Abu Dhabi alongside his wife on Wednesday.

KKR’s journey in IPL 2020 came to an end on Tuesday night after SunRisers Hyderabad thrashed Mumbai Indians by ten wickets and took the last playoffs spot thanks to a better net run-rate. Along with KKR and SRH, Royal Challengers Bangalore had also finished with 7 wins but the Kolkata-based outfit has the worst net run-rate among the three and thus finished at the fifth spot.

Eoin Morgan was handed the team’s captain midway through the tournament. In seven games, the England captain led KKR to three wins. He also scored a 35-ball 68 runs knock against Rajasthan Royals in the do-or-die clash and powered his side to an impressive 60-run win.

However, his effort and the win eventually went in vain as SRH managed to beat MI and RCB managed to keep their net run-rate above KKR. Eoin Morgan will be looking to guide KKR to their third IPL title and first since 2014 when he returns to lead the team again next year.

Before departing the UAE, Eoin Morgan decided to pay a visit to the famous mosque along with his better half. The England legend dressed in the traditional light blue coloured Emirati outfit as he visited  largest mosque in the gulf country. His wife was also dressed in the traditional attire.

Meanwhile, the fans were quick to praise Eoin Morgan for his gesture. While some hailed him as a true gentleman, some jokingly called him Sheikh Morgan.
