In the wake of Indian openers’ in the ongoing England vs India Test series, the fans have urged the Indian team management to give Prithvi Shaw a chance in the Test side.

India have already tried two pairs in as many games in the ongoing series. However, none of the two combinations worked out. In the first innings of the first Test, Shikhar Dhawan and Murali Vijay added 50 runs for the first wicket. But since then the Indian openers failed miserably.

In the second innings of the first Test, Dhawan and Vijay could add only 19. The team management then dropped Dhawan and promoted KL Rahul to open with Vijay. However, the move backfired as the openers could not open their account in the partnership in either of the innings.

And now the fans want Shaw to open the innings in Tests. The youngster has continued to turn heads with his batting exploits and is earmarked for huge success. He recently scored a fine century for India A against South Africa A in the unofficial Test. Prior to that, he had impressed in England tour.
