A non-bailable warrant has been issued against India fast-bowler Mohammed Shami after charges by his wife of domestic violence and attempt to murder.
The Kolkata Police has started a case against India fast bowler Mohammed Shami under several sections of the Indian Penal Code including 498A, which states cruelty to a woman by her husband or his relatives.

Joint Commissioner of Kolkata Police Praveen Tripathi said that the case had registered at Kolkata’s Jadhavpur Police Station.
The FIR has been registered by a written complaint by the cricketer’s wife Hasin Jahan on Thursday.
Shami’s wife has accused the fast bowler of having extramarital and has leaked some incredible pictures of Shami’s WhatsApp chats.

Jahan on Wednesday posted several screenshots of Messenger and Whatsapp messages on her Facebook wall, in a bid to expose the pacer’s extra-marital affair.
She also said that the Indian cricket team pacer, on his return from the recent South Africa tour, beat her.

The other charges imposed against Shami are under Section 307 – attempt to murder, Section 323 – punishment for voluntarily causing hurt, Section 376 – rape, Section 506 – criminal intimidation.
After accusations of adultery, Shami’s wife even accused the right-arm pacer of cheating on his country. She suggested that the bowler was involved in match-fixing.

Jahan stressed she has a proof of her husband taking money from a Pakistani girl named Alisbah in Dubai following the insistence of England-based Mohammed Bhai.
