Young sensation Prithvi Shaw, who started his Test career with a hundred against Windies at Rajkot, has returned to training after recovering from an elbow injury, he sustained during the Deodhar Trophy. Moreover, he has started his preparation for the tour of Australia with the batting legend Sachin Tendulkar.

Meanwhile, as per reports in TOI, Shaw trained for an hour at the MIG Club in Mumbai that too with a rubber ball. The report also suggests that Sachin Tendulkar gave him throwdowns with the wet ball to prepare him for the fast pitches in Australia.

Tendulkar and Chavan gave throw-downs to him with a wet rubber ball on a tarpaulin (used to protect the wicket against rain), in order to prepare him for the Australian tour. Because of Prithvi, Tendulkar came about an hour early to MIG (the batting great is running the Tendulkar Middlesex Global Academy at MIG),” the report said.

TOI quoted a source saying that Tendulkar also shared some batting tips with Prithvi Shaw. The Mumbai batsman is so keen to retain the excellent form that he trained on the Diwali as well.

Tendulkar was sharing a few tips with Shaw about batting in Australia too. Shaw has begun his routine by batting against the rubber ball on Monday and practiced on Wednesday (Diwali) too,” the source said.

Shaw, meanwhile, missed Mumbai’s Ranji Trophy opener from November 1 against Railways due to injury. While featuring for India A in the Deodhar Trophy, a short pitch delivery from Deepak  Chahar struck Prithvi Shaw on his elbow. It was the same spot where he got hit during the second Test against Windies.

Shaw will tour New Zealand with India A squad under the leadership of Ajinkya Rahane before joining the Indian squad in Australia.
